The two graphs below show the expenditure on health and education (1985-1993) and the infant mortality and life expectancy (1970-1992) in the UAE. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisions where relevant.

The graphs depict expenditure done on health and education, and changes in the life expectancy and infant mortality rates in the UAE. Overall, as the percentage of money spent on health and education increased, life expectancy improved, and infant mortality declined.

The bar diagrams shows the breakup of the percentage of GDP spent on health and education from 1985 to 1983. There was a significant increase for both the sectors. Expenditure on health care, which was just below 8% in 1985, rose by 1% in 1990, and after 3 years it stood at 10%. Spending on education was even higher. Starting with 10% in 1985, it shot up to 15% in 1993, which is a 50% increase in 8 years.

Looking at the line graph, we can see that life expectancy was marked at 60 years in 1970, but by 1992 it reached an impressive number of more than 70 years. Similarly, the number of infant deaths plummeted dramatically from 70 deaths per 1000 births in 1970, to just 20 against 1000 in 1992.

It can be concluded that as health care and education services in the UAE improved, people lived longer and healthier.
