While, many facts have contributed to this social chaos, certain demographic of the society believes that, punishing of parents whom children are breaking the law could help to mitigate this issue. I completely disagree with this argument, and plausible reasoning will be discussed in depth in following paragraphs.

Firstly, many incidents of children breaking the law occur mainly due to the lack of proper guidance from parents or elders. Researchers have indicated that 65% of children involved in illegal activities in South East Asia either had no parents or grew in an orphanage. Therefore, punishing of parents will become impossible for children who lost their parents at their early ages and grew up in an orphanage.

Furthermore, punishing of parents seems pointless and it could ruin the bond and relationship between child and parent. For example, if a parent is fines of $50 for misconduct of his own son, the parent will be annoyed of paying the fine and could provoke him to punish the children severely. This could be even worse for a family living in gutter and has lower income level.

Similarly, children should be held responsible for their own actions and should be punished by law or parents depending on the nature of the unlawful doing, eventually learning the lesson that every action has its own consequences and he is the only person who has control over that outcome.

In conclusion, punishing of parents for their children's unlawful actions is completely insensible and morally wrong. It could provoke more feuds between children and parents relationships. Children should be held responsible for their actions and be punished accordingly.

Words (283)
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11997609620080371890noreply@blogger.com
