You have recently moved to a new flat. Unfortunately you had lost some money the other day and cannot pay the next month's rent when it is due. 

Write a letter to the landlord:

- Explain the situation to him
-Assure him that you will pay as soon as your parents send you some money
-Mention some problems there are with the flat

Write at least 150 words.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

I am writing this letter to regretfully inform you that due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to pay the next month's rent on the due date. It might get delayed by a few days.

The reason for this is that my wallet got picked in a bus two days ago while I was returning home from work. Along with some money, I have lost my ATM card too, and therefore I am unable to withdraw money from my account. The bank will take a week to re-issue my card. Meanwhile, I have asked my parents to send me some cash, and as soon as it arrives, I shall pay you the rent.

I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that the geyser in my bathroom isn't functioning. Every time I try to turn it on, the switch emits a small spark, which is worrying.  Also, the fan in the drawing room makes a lot of noise when turned on, and looks very flimsy when spinning. I shall be grateful if you get these things repaired at the earliest.

I would again like to apologize for the delay in paying the rent to you. Please bear with me for the inconvenience caused.
