We were able to find a chart with a similar concept from a different source on the net, and we’ve written it’s model answer
for your reference.
Hope this helps!
Graph # 13 – Bar graph
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education
in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying fulltime or
part-time.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features,
and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The given bar chart is an
illustration of the number of male and female students in Britain, enrolled in
full-time or part-time academic programs. The information is spread over a
three decade period, from 1970 to 1990. It is evident from the trend that full
time education was favoured much more by both the sexes.
In the 1970s, around 1000 men
were recorded as studying full time, the females on the other hand were less by
300. The next decade though saw a rise in the female numbers, reaching 800, and
the male enrolment dropped down, but also to 800. Meanwhile the number of males
and females studying part time had increased. Where in 1970, around 100 males
and 40 females studied part time, in 1980 the numbers were approximately 150
and 190 respectively.
The last decade in the graph
marks a rise for all categories. Male numbers for full time and part time education
rose to 880 and 200 respectively. The female enrolment in full time also
increased dramatically further this decade and stood at 1100, whereas the part
time data recorded was the same as for the males.
Overall, an ascending trend is
seen in females for both full and part time education enrolment.
