Essay # 20
Some people think that it is good for a country’s culture to broadcast foreign films and TV shows. Others, however, think it is best to produce local films and shows. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Audiences worldwide have now opened up to viewing local as well as foreign entertainment media. While some people are appreciating this awareness of other cultures, others feel the local entertainment market should be promoted more. Both these views shall be discussed further.
When a country telecasts films and TV
shows of a foreign origin, it opens up the vistas for understanding and
accepting certain, if not all, aspects of that culture. Generally the content
of foreign media is quite different from one's local entertainment options, and
this ignites considerable amount of curiosity among the people. It is commonly
observed that teenagers are more inclined towards foreign movies and TV shows,
and form a huge fan base for such programs. This depicts the broad mindedness
and willingness to know and learn about the mannerisms and tastes of foreign
countries which is the crux of harmonious globalization.
The people who feel that the local
entertainment industry should be promoted, might feel so, as it has been seen
that in some countries, their own local movies are not appreciated much, maybe
due to lack in quality of entertainment. This dominance of foreign movies and
TV shows discourages the local artists to make more films. Such kind of a
situation also might provoke some people to think that the emergence of foreign
media is harming their own culture and industry, thereby giving rise to a
negative attitude an close-mindedness towards foreign movies and TV shows.
I'd like to conclude by saying that local
films and TV shows also should be acknowledged as much as the foreign
entertainment. Watching foreign media logically doesn't harm of repress one's
local culture in any way, it only encourages a good-spirited amalgamation of
particular features of the other lesser known culture.

Hello!
DeleteYour essay is very strong in terms of lexical resources, and your point of view also comes off quite clearly, enabling the examiner to effortlessly grasp your ideas.
There were a few spelling and minor grammar mistakes I noticed; I'm inclined to think they were typing errors and not your own. However, to be safe, make it a habit to proof-read both your writing tasks for 2-3 minutes at the end, before handing in the paper at the exam.
This essay has a high likelihood of scoring a 7.
