You have applied for a course in a college, but there were no places available. Write a letter to the principal and ask to enrol for the next available course. Include the following:

- Why do you want to do this course?

- What other options would you like to explore?

- Suggest your solution to this situation.

Respected Sir / Ma’am,

I’m a student of Cultural Studies from your college. I had applied for a very functional course for my field of study – Introduction to Arts and Humanity - that is supposed to start this month. Unfortunately I got a letter from the administration last week informing me that all seats are taken for this course. I even tried inquiring about the next available courses in this semester but there seems to be no information available with the clerks regarding that.

I am really keen on doing this course as it will give me an additional overview regarding one of my core subjects - Human Psychology. Also, I have heard that the faculty who is going to conduct this course is one of the established professors in this field. It will be an honour to learn his insights regarding this subject, a chance I may not get again.

If further enrolments in this course are not at all possible, then I shall be grateful if you could invite the faculty again for another workshop, as I am aware of a few more students who wanted to attend this course but couldn’t because of the same issue. Also, if the faculty’s notes for the Arts and Humanity course could be shared with us, that would be a great help. Any fees for the same shall be happily incurred by us.
